One Jazz

One Jazz is on a mission. We believe that Jazz, in all its glorious forms, is the greatest music on the planet and is a power for good in a troubled world.

Having spent our lives working on jazz broadcasting in both commercial and publicly-funded radio we decided we wanted to do something different. It’s our view that the only way we can present this music with zero compromise - all kinds of jazz, all day, every day - was to make One Jazz a not-for-profit organisation. That means that nobody who works on One Jazz either on air or behind the scenes gets paid.
But of course, we have costs – for technology, licensing, administration and, when we can afford it, marketing. Because we hope you’re enjoying what we do, for free, with very few commercial messages, we thought it seems ok to ask if you’d like to help. Donations are very standard for public radio in the USA. That’s how they are funded. It’s also becoming more of a thing around the rest of the world - millions of people pay for podcasts they enjoy.

So if you like what you’re hearing, love jazz, believe in our mission and can afford it we’d be most grateful if you’d make a donation - ideally a monthly one. Whatever you can afford will go, 100%, to our running costs. Another way to contribute is to buy some merchandise from our shop.
